Prop List

For the construction of my music promo, not many props were needed as the video is more about the expressions and body language each of my actors displayed towards one another. This meant there were little items required to create visually appealing footage for my song.
However, there were necessities, like in any music video, which includes:

  • A five pound note, needed to give context behind the two characters which strongly gives away the ides that one is wealthy whilst the other scavenges for money.
  • A torn up hoodie. This again is required to indicate the lack of wealth the main character has as he cannot even afford new clothes, and clearly has no job as he believes it is acceptable to dress in such a way.
  • Glasses, used to emphasise the second character's intelligence as glasses are stereotypical of the wealthy.
These props were important in the construction of my music promo as it gave context to the footage and indicates which character was with, the rich and the poor, as despite relying heavily on body language and interactions to portray these features, some props were needed - not only for context, but also to make the footage more visually attractive and typical of other videos of the same genre or that had a similar story line.
